Senator representing Kogi West at the red chambers, senator Dino Melaye have been arrested few minutes ago.
Senator Melaye who was on his way to Morocco for an official assignment claimed to have been arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport.
In a tweet by the federal lawmaker, he said, “I have just been arrested at the international wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport on my way to Morocco for an official engagement sponsored by the Federal Govt after checking in”.
As at the time of this report, it is not yet clear which agency carried out the arrest. Recall that Mr Melaye was once declared wanted for his alleged involvement in a murder case and provision of support for criminal elements in Kogi.
