The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have yesterday revealed that it seized around 4000kilograms of tramadol at the Lagos Airport.

Displaying the said drugs before newsmen, the NDLEA commander at Lagos Airport, Mr. Garba Ahmadu said the agency received an intelligence report which led to the seizure.

Mr. Garba said the drugs which was banned by the federal government was imported into the country through Etihad cargo but was intercepted by his men at the cargo shed of the Skyway Aviation Handling Company, SAHCOL.

He further added that no cargo agent have showed up to claim the consignments for over a month thereby prompting the agency to take full possession of the items.
