The Super Falcons of Nigeria have won the 2018 African Women Cup Of Nations after defeating their opponent, the Bayana Bayana of South Africa.

The match which held at the Accra Sports Stadium, ended in a goalless draw at the end of the extra was decided by penalty kicks.

Although Nigeria had the chance of leading after Fransisco Ordega was fouled in the penalty area and they were given a penalty but Asisat Oshoala couldn’t utilize the opportunity positively.

The South Africa team who had hoped on clinching their first title, lost 2 penalties during the penalty shootout and scored 3 while Nigeria scored 4 and lost 1.

Alice Matlou, Nompumelelo Nyandeni and Mamello Makhabane scored for South Africa, while Lebohang Ramalepe and Linda Motlhalo missed.

Meanwhile, Rita Chikwelu, Ngozi Ebere, Chinwendu Ihezuo and Chinaza Uchendu scored their penalty kicks for Nigeria after Onome Ebi missed hers.
