Like a fine brewed wine that gets better with age, the name Hon. Barr. Chima Obieze is fast becoming a political household name crisscrossing Ezeagu and the entire Enugu State as he gets older in the political terrain.
The quote by Martin Luther, circa 1500s that “Wine is made by God” rightly captured the latest feather added to the already filled cap of the member representing Ezeagu constituency in Enugu state House of Assembly by the people of Iwollo Omasi, in Ezeagu Local Government Area.
The carnival like event which took place at Sacred Heart Parish Premises on the 29th December, 2018 is the annual Ofala festival of the Omasi kingdom tagged “Ofala Omasi Amaka” during which Hon. Barr. Chima Obieze was conferred with a chieftancy tittle “Chimelu Eze 1 of Iwollo Omasi Ancient Kingdom” by the traditional ruler of the kingdom, HRH, Igwe Dr. Amb. Okoro Ralph Obiora.
The Chieftancy title “Chimelu Eze 1” translated “Made King by God” depicts the rise of Hon. Obieze politically having come from a very humble background.
“This Chieftancy title is in appreciation of the quality representation Hon. Obieze has been giving our people” Igwe Obiora said.
Visibly elated Hon. Obieze thanked the people of Iwollo Omasi for deeming him fit to be honoured and promised to continue to represent them effectively and with the fear of God.
