Fidelity Advert

An attempt by one Okey Ogbodo who is laying claims to the leadership of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Enugu State to stop the candidacy of Distinguished Senator Ayogu Eze and other Candidates nominated by the rightful Chairman of the party in the state, Barr. Ben Nwoye suffered a shameful defeat today as the matter was summarily dismissed by federal high court Enugu.

In the suit filed by Deacon Okay Ogbodo against Dr. Ben Nwoye, Adams Oshiomhle Sen. Ayogueze and others, he prayed the court to amongst other reliefs declare that Sen. Ayogu Eze as well as all other candidates are not validly norminated to contest for their elective positions under APC.

In their defense, the counsel to Senator Ayogu Eze and Barr. Ben Nwoye, while the for Senetor Barr. Ugo. F Ukwueze and Barr. Harold Aboloje argued the following;
that the court lacks jurisdiction to entertain the case.
that suit is non justiceable and
that the Plaintiff lacks locus standi to institute the case.

In his ruling, Justice K.I Okpe of High Court 7 Enugu ruled that the suit by the plaintiff lacks merit and dismissed the matter accordingly.
