The Federal High Court, Abuja had issued a warning and threatened to jail the Director General of State Security Service if he fails to obey a court order of 24th September, 2019, which ordered for the release of Omoyele Sowore.

In a “Notice of Consequences of Disobedience to Order of Court,” the Federal High Court warns the DG that; “unless you obey the direction contained in the order of the Federal High Court of Justice, Abuja, delivered on the 24th September, 2019, which ordered you to release the Applicant in Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/915/2019 forthwith, you will be guilty of contempt of court and will be liable to be committed to prison.”

Omoyele Sowore, the convener of “Revolution Now” was granted bail on the 24th of September after he was arrested by the DSS just before the date of the planned protest and charged for treason and later, for insulting President Buhari.
