The dreaded COVID-19 has reportedly found its way to the South South region of Nigeria as the Speaker of the Edo state House of Assembly, Frank Okiye, tested positive to the virus.
The recent development was confirmed by the Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, on Wednesday while briefing journalists.
He said the state is taking measures to tackle further spread of the virus in the state.
The governor of the state Godwin Obaseki has, however, gone into self-isolation
