The Nigerian Government has hinted on its plan to ban inter-state movement of people as a strategy to curtail the spread of Coronavirus in the country.

Bashir Ahmed, Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, disclosed this via a Twitter post on Thursday.

He said the information was relayed by the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed.

He tweeted, “The Federal Government announces plans to ban inter-state travel and possibly close down all motor parks as part of measures to curtail the spread of the #Coronavirus, Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, discloses the plans this afternoon. #COVID19Nigeria.”

Nigeria currently has 51 confirmed cases of Coronavirus and one recorded death.
