The Enugu State chairman of Taekwondo Association, CSP Ebere Amaraizu has described Taekwondo game as a game with many parts.

He made this known to newsmen recently why reacting on the essence of Enugu state Taekwondo Association with Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV).

According to Amaraizu who also is the National coordinator of POCACOV, Taekwondo game has a cutting edge over all other sporting events because of the positive foundation of the game which is anchored in its tenets of Integrity, indomitable spirit, discipline, survival skills and self-defence especially for the girl child, perseverance, self control amongst others.

He further maintained that Taekwondo game teaches self confidence and hard work and advocated for ministries of education and Youth and sports to have proper arrangement that will see to the establishment of Taekwondo kiddies/schools club in various schools and colleges to enable school children enjoy the accruing benefits in the game of Taekwondo apart from becoming a sporting event.

Amaraizu also hinted that; “POCACOV have started partnering Enugu state Taekwondo Association through their Enugu state Taekwondo association and Taekwondo kiddies programme and class takes place near the basketball court of Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium.

“The Taekwondo kiddies programme and class has lived up to its responsibility and has attracted the attention of many parents who always wants their children and wards to enjoy the numerous benefits of the game.

“We are currently not on because of COVID-19 pandemic but we are working to develop an online Taekwondo programme for our members to enable them be in touch.

“POCACOV is cashing in on the numerous benefits of Taekwondo game and its importance in child development and to stay away from cultism and crime,” Amaraizu concluded.
