The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has postponed it’s primary election scheduled to hold on Friday, 19th June to Tuesday, 23rd June 2020.

The move might not be unconnected to the move of the embattled governor of Edo state into the party.

The National publicity of the party, Kola Olagbondiya disclosed the change in date via a tweet on Thursday. He tweeted; “@OfficialPDPNig has postponed its primary election in Edo State to Tuesday, June 23rd 2020.”

Journalist101 had reported that the Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki met with the PDP National chairman on Wednesday night and this recent move by the PDP might be in anticipation of the formal defection of the governor to the party ahead of the September poll.
