This morning, I read in some National Dalies that the Nigerian Army will be starting a Nationwide operation tagged “Operation Crocodile Smile iv”.

I am not a security expert and as such, might not be aware of the reason(s) Nigerian Army might have for this operation at this time the country is at the verge of #Revolution.

However, as a patriotic Nigerian and a lone voice in the wilderness, I want to put in a word of caution to the Nigerian military; ANY PLAN BY THE GOVERNMENT AT ALL LEVELS TO END THE ONGOING PEACEFUL PROTESTS BY FORCEFUL OR VIOLENT MEANS WILL BE COUNTER productive.

Enough lives have been lost already. Enough damage is already done. The joy of too many families have been shattered already. Breadwinners taken away in cold blood. Parents have watched the lifeless bodies of their innocent children. Some children have been shot dead in the very eyes of their parents. Some parents maimed right before their kids. Some parents still live in the hope that they will see their missing kids someday without knowing they are already murdered in cold blood and their bodies disposed like that of rats.
In all these, JUSTICE hasn’t been done.

Again, Government have failed in many ways to address the plight of the Nigerian Youth. Unemployment remains the major bane of all our insecurities. I do not support yahoo boys though but their numbers will be far less if they had something doing for survival. There is an innate drive in every human for survival. We must help the youths to survive or they will find ways to survive on their own, yahoo inclusive.

Today, beggers are littered all over our streets with many of them toddlers and the government have no plans for them.
Today, they knock on our glasses to beg but tomorrow they will break our glasses to take. The children of the poor that you refused to train and empower today will never let your own children have peace. This is the way of life. Give our youths the wings to fly.

Today, the protests are largely peaceful and any attempt to use force or violence to stop the protests may lead to something unprecedented.

The Government and security forces should look deep and understand that a new spirit has enveloped the nation thus, our youth have just woken up from their slumber. So play time is over and everyone of us in government should now embrace ourselves and know that you can only succeed if you do things right. If you stand with the people, if you care for the people, if you make efforts to lead right and when we understand that there can only be a Leader where there are the people to be led. Without the people we are nothing.

I call on the president today. I call on the Hierarchy of the Nigerian Armed forces. I call on every Nigerian Security personnel today that may be given any assignment that is antithetical to the safety and good of our protesting youths. To know that #All_Nigerian_lives_Matter.

These youths are your sons, daughters, brothers and sisters. They want nothing more than Good Governance and a better Nigeria. A Safe Nation where they can explore their full potentials and not be afraid of a bad cop lurking in the corner. Where they can buy their dream car and be sure they won’t be killed for riding in a good car. A nation were they can enjoy their night life without fear of being hounded, raided, shot, or dumped in the police cell and their poor artisan parents made to pay the police, the family’s one week feeding-money just to secure their release.

A Nation peace and justice truly reigns. Where our brothers and sisters with good innovations abroad can feel free to return home and contribute their quota to national development without fear of being brutalised and with assurances of Government support.

I stand with the Youths of Nigeria.
I stand with the people.
I stand with #EndSars
I stand with #Endpolicebrutality
I stand with #EndbadGovernance.

Finally, daily in our national anthem we pray; “HELP OUR YOUTHS THE TRUTH TO KNOW…”
God just answered that prayer. The youth are just realising that power belongs to them but sadly, they have slumbered long enough
