…Says the Governor Is Proactive in the discharge of his Responsibilities
In a view to sustaining the already entrenched Peace in Enugu state under Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, his special Assistant on Youth Affairs, Comrade Johnpaul Anih has reaffirmed the Enugu youths’ unflinching support to the Governor for his continued resolve to maintaining the existing peace through all inclusive government, youth participation and aggressive rural developmental drive.
Comrade Anih stated this in Enugu on Tuesday when his team paid a visit to the state’s Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu.
According to Johnpaul, “We believe that we cannot build a brighter future by destroying the present, rather we learn from the experiences therewith to build a brighter future”
“We are not unaware of the mood of the nation “the heightened insecurity, wanton destruction of lives and property by those who have lost hope and confidence in the system and who find no available remedies to the injustices that pervades the facets of the entire nation”
“Notwithstanding the unwarranted provocations and utterances coming from unexpected quarters, we will not succumb to becoming agents of destruction as Enugu still remains the epicentre of peace and security in Nigeria”
“The State Government is aware of the yearnings and aspirations of the youths which includes but not limited to curbing the rising youths unemployment, creating access to affordable tertiary education, creating conducive environment for business to thrive, giving supports to small businesses and enlarging the scope of youth participation in government”
This Government without grandstanding, remains the most youth friendly government in the history of Enugu State and is also committed to creating satellites towns through massive rural roads construction and rural electrification, this the Governor believes will reduce the burden of the rural dwellers.
“As youths, we are the major determinants of whether there will be peace or war and we have rightly chosen Peace as there can never be any meaningful development without peace and security” he concluded.
Responding, the Police Commissioner Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu who could not hide his joy over the visit, assured the readiness of the force to partnering his office.
He extolled Governor Ugwuanyi’s humility, accessibility and peaceful disposition which has kept the state to the path of Peace, political stability and even development
