244 days after, Nigerians have started recounting their experience following the lift of the Ban on Twitter operations by the Federal Government and celebrating those that stood by the masses in the inglorious days of the suspension.
One name that’s reoccurring is the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde whom majority of Twitter users are celebrating for disobeying the ban and standing with Nigerians that believe the ban was very harsh.
Many politicians including the presidential candidate of the opposition party, Atiku Abubakar obeyed the ban when it was first announced. All radio and television stations were forced into obeying the ban except AriseTV and few OAPs that kept promoting their work via the platform.
So many Nigerians are praising Makinde as he continued to use the platform. Below are some of the posts:
