World football governing body, FIFA has confirmed the suspension of two African countries, from all football activities.

FIFA confirmed the suspension of Zimbabwe and Kenya from all football activities, after its 72nd congress meeting held in Qatar, on Thursday.

The Council had taken the decision in February over government interference with football activities in the country.

The congress voted for the suspension of Zimbabwe and Kenya Football Association, enabling the body to lift the suspension once the requirements have been met.

During the voting exercise, 199 members voted in support of the suspension on Zimbabwe while two members voted no.

For kenya on the other hand, 198 members voted yes while 1 member voted no.
