Presidential Aspirant and Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike, has given his condition onto which he can accept if his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, opts for a consensus candidate.

Wike made this known yesterday, at the Taraba State Government House, Jalingo, where he consulted and canvassed for the delegates’ votes for the forthcoming PDP’s national congress.

Wike said he will only accept a presidential consensus candidate of the party if the person’s selection is based on equity, justice and fairness.

Addressing journalists, he said PDP remains the only means through which Nigeria can regain lost glory since the emergence of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Wike said, “I am here with my brother Governor Darius Ishaku to canvass for the delegates’ votes in Taraba, I am capable of governing Nigeria to the best; I have the ability and the capacity to make Nigeria great, have hope on me, have hope on PDP, together we can make Nigeria great again.”

Also, addressing delegates in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, Wike assured the party of his unflinching support notwithstanding what the outcome of the primary election will be.

He called on the delegates to equally share the vote in the state between him and Abubakar Atiku adding that it will be unfair to defeat the former Vice president in his state.

“I know your governor (Fintiri) is my friend, but he is not with me. It is unfair to defeat your father (Atiku). So, give me 50 percent and give him (father) 50 percent.

“Since I am wishing Governor Fintiri second term, tell him to wish me good luck,” he said.
