Fidelity Advert

“I want to tell you people again that the National Secretariat of our party has so much respect for the PDP in Enugu State under the leadership of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi”, were the exact words of Prince Vincent Yandev Amaabai, the Chairman of the panel sent by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to monitor the election of 3-man Ad-Hoc delegates for the party’s primary election.

These words put the final nail on the coffin of lies by desperate politicians that have continued to deceive the few that see them as bulldozers when they can’t even help themselves return to Abuja from where they allocate non existing powers to themselves.

An election which is supposed to be a gathering of family in support supports of the cliche “Enugu PDP is one united family” became an opportunity for some persons that have either rode on the back of others or manipulated the system to show their political illiteracy.

As the congress was underway, the infinitesimal supporters of these politicians that have done nothing for themselves rather than feast on public purse decided to conduct what they called “parallel congress” which ended as the last dance of a hen whose head has been cut off.

From Nome to Iwollo, umabi to akpugo, Uzo-Uwani to igbo Eze South, this political macabre was going on and the echo of “ABC is cumin” rained the air where these rookies held sway. It took the appearance of the white lion for all the little lizards, goats and zebras to be put in their place as they scamper for safety to avoid the sharp claws of a gentle lion whose humility, they have all read to be weakness, albeit, their greatest undoing.

Led by the Chairman of the PDP in Enugu State, Hon. Augustine Nnamani, the team from Wadata House supervised the process at Umunevo, Ward 02, Ogui Nike, Enugu North Local Government Area, Obollo-Eke, Udenu LGA, Ikem in Isi-Uzo LGA Eda-Nta Ward in Ede-Oballa, Umuenwene Ward, and other places, signalling once again, there’s one Enugu PDP.

A party faithful in my Oduma ward asked: “parallel congress how? How can you achieve that? In this Enugu? Is there any ward that has a parallel leadership?” And said conclusively “People should tell these paper and social media tiger that we have one leader in Enugu State and the entire state have agreed to respect zoning of the Governorship position in our coal city.”

In my last check, these few that gathered to eat Okpa and drink palm wine in the guise of parallel Congress have all submitted the result of their illogical exercise to their various commanders in the local governments while the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and the team from Abuja left the state on Sunday with the duly signed results.
