Enugu 2023:
Mrs. Amaka Anajemba (L) walking with Governor Ugwuanyi (R), as he waves to the members of Door-to-Door

One of the famous political pressure group; Door-to-Door led by Mrs. Amaka Anajemba has assured the Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of their commitment to his succession plan in the 2023 general elections.

Mrs Anajemba who led over 2,000 members of the group on a solidarity visit to the Governor at the Government House Enugu said they’re ready to repeat what they did for the Governor in 2014 and 2018 for the flagbearer of the party, Barr. Peter Mbah in 2022.

With a proven strength of over six thousand registered men, women and youth volunteer members today, this Group’s major attraction, apart from having enthusiastic members from all the 17 LGA’s, is that, unlike most other programmes, Odibeze’s Door-to-Door is gender-mix friendly and has repeatedly shown clearly that it is a group for all and sundry, irrespective of gender or age.

An elated Governor Ugwuanyi listened excitedly to the emotional homage of solidarity messages, songs and exhortation from the group during the visit as Chief Mrs. Anajemba, who is also the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Enugu State Waste Management Agency ESWAMA, stressed that  they will not relent in their support to the administration, as well as to all the PDP candidates on the 2023 ballot.

Some members of the group at the visit

“Your Excellency, we are here to tell you that we are solidly behind you. Since 2014 till date, the bond that bonded us to you is still there and is irrevocable and unbreakable. The large number of people you see here is just a tip of the iceberg of our membership. We believe that wherever you tell us to go is where we will go. When you go to bed, have your two eyes closed. Door to Door is for you, Door to Door is with you, Door to Door is behind you and Door to Door is beside you”, Odibeze echoed.

Governor Ugwuanyi himself was visibly enthused as Odibeze and other members of the Group who spoke showered praises on him for what one of them described as his, “Superlative performance.”

Governor Ugwuanyi expressed his appreciation to Mrs. Anajemba and her formidable group for the “soul uplifting solidarity”.

From all indications, with the message delivered loud and clear, as was the case in 2014 and as replicated in 2018, this time around again, the PDP Governorship Candidate Barr. Peter Ndụbuisi Mbah must be counting his blessings already because the Enugu 2023 elections appear as though it’s going to be a repeat successful door-to-door mobilization performance by Mrs. Amaka Anajemba and her campaign outfit.

Door-to-Door was birthed in 2014 by the elegant Amazon fondly hailed as Her Majesty, Queen Odibeze Amaka Anajemba following her conviction that Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who at that time was seeking the mandate of ndi Enugu, was the only candidate that deserved to win the governorship election. Having become impatient with the usual campaign-ground rhetoric, and perhaps considering the method somewhat inchoate, Anajemba took up the gauntlet. She recruited impassioned men, women and youth of like minds to give impetus to Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s campaigns and the Group stormed the streets, nooks and crannies, knocking on all doors in all the communities throughout Enugu State spreading convincing messages which gave Ugwuanyi an edge over his opponents.
