The attention of the leadership of Awgu LG Council has been drawn to the news making the rounds where the photograph of the Executive Chairman of Awgu LGA, Hon. PEDRO OKWUDILI NWANKWO “Ezeomeogo” was used in an online publication with the caption “South East APC Progressives Forum Rejects Okwudili Nwankwo as House of Representatives Speaker Appointee”.
The Council Administration wish to state that the news is a baseless propaganda, misrepresentation of the Chairman’s identity and nomenclature and consider it misleading and deceptive.
The Chairman Awgu LGA, Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo wishes to state, for the purpose of record, that he is still the Executive Chairman Awgu LGA in Enugu State, a bonafide member of the PDP, not vying for/never vie for the aforementioned position that the blogger mentioned.
Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo (Ezeomeogo) from Awgu LGA, Enugu State is not same as Honourable Okwudili Ezenwankwo (Ewepudike) who hails from Nanka Community, Orumba North LGA, Anambra State and doesn’t speak same meaning.
Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo “Ezeomeogo” was not appointed by Speaker Abbas.
He pleads with the public to disregard such news as his office is yet to know the intention behind the blogger’s choice of his “picture and names” for his publication, if he was paid to do so or intentionally to put a question mark or denigrate his name/image. The office is yet to find out.
The Chairman, Ezeomeogo, pleads with the blogger to desist from using his picture for further false representation in his publication, by way of attracting views, in order to avoid having a trademark as an agent of confusion, propaganda and deception. He encouraged him to be tactful, careful, objective and follow the rules of engagement in doing his business. He equally advised that agents of mischief and scandal should find a way to make our society peaceful and prosperous by building a harmonious relationship with the government and her leadership.
As the Chairman of Awgu LGA, Ezeomeogo remains committed to ensuring that dividends of good governance is provided to the good people of Awgu LGA.
He thanks people of good conscience and moral justification who vehemently condemned the baseless propaganda, malicious misuse/misrepresentation of his identity and affirmed his unshakable stand in making the party that brought him, the PDP, more prosperous.
