Willing to boost government effort towards ensuring adequate security of lives and property in Anambra State the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Anambra State chapter has offered to assist operations of the State Police Command with fervent prayers.

The State Chairman of PFN Anambra State chapter Bishop Moses Ezedebego who made the offer when he received the Commissioner of Police (CP) in the State, Mr Adeoye Adeyemi on a courtesy visit at PFN office in Awka, the State capital assured the CP that the PFN fold will make his operations one of the prayer points in the Church to aid his breakthrough and success in dealing with security challenges in the State.

“We thank God for you because we know that your coming to Anambra to serve as number one Police operative is by the choice of God,” Bishop Ezedebego begins in his welcome remark, adding “We desire a crime free situation in Anambra State where people go about their normal businesses without facing attacks from criminals, therefore our prayer is that God will use you to effectively deal with criminal elements and get Anambra rid off security challenges posed by criminals in Jesus name”

Noting that both Men of God, the Church in general and the Police are doing the work of God and humanity in different ways, the PFN boss who took time to pray for the visitor indicated that PFN is ready to partner with the Police for working relationship whereby the Church and the Police could not just start to pray together but also engage in constant interaction and exchanging visits to the point that the PFN and Police can invite each other to participate in their functions.

In response, the visitor thanked the host for the desire of PFN to contribute their quota in assisting the Police on fight against criminals with prayer noting that “the Police is aware that prayer is important in everything that people do, so I appreciate decision of PFN to support our operations with prayer and to partner with us for good working relationship. We are also aware of the sacred position of Men of God and important roles they play in shaping and defending the people before God, that’s why the Bible says touch not my anointing and do my prophet no harm”

The CP assured residents and visitors of Anambra State his preparedness to decisively and effectively deal with criminals in the State noting that he has so far on assumption of office as head of the State Police Command bursted several number of camps of criminal gangs across the State and arrested many dare devil criminals who are now in custody facing the wrath of law.
