Hon Princess Nneka Okoro, the National Ex-officio Representing Enugu State at the Executive Council of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has congratulated Governor Peter Mbah on his victory at the tribunal on Thursday.

JOURNALIST101 reported that The Tribunal chaired by Justice Kudirat Murayo Akano dismissed all grounds of the two petitions by Chijioke Edeoga of the Labour Party and Chris Agu of the Peoples Redemption Party against the return of Dr. Mbah as the winner of the March 18 governorship election.

In a congratulatory message made available to JOURNALIST101, Princess Okoro said the victory is well deserved and cherished by Ndi Enugu as the Governor has demonstrated the capacity, willingness and burning desire to take the state to the next level of development.

She appealed to the opposition to put the state first and accept the hand of fellowship the Governor has already extended to them as contained in his speech after the tribunal verdict.

“The Jubilation that followed the affirmation of Mbah’s victory at the poll the governorship election petition tribunal is a clear indication that the Governor’s victory is well deserved. The people’s mandate has being reaffirmed and we’re all happy with the judgement.

“I want to join other well meaning Ndi Enugu to congratulate our Governor and also call on those that didn’t make it in this cycle of election to put our state first and welcome the hand of fellowship extended to them by the Governor and contribute their quote towards building the state we all desire.”

She also urged the citizens of Enugu to continue to support the administration of Dr. Mbah to enable the Governor achieve his set goals for the coal city.

“Dr. Mbah’s manifesto endeared him to all of us and I wish to urge our people to continue to support this administration so that all that’s outlined therein can be achieved.”
