The member representing Ezeagu constituency in Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chima Obieze has paid the university tuition fees of members of his constituency.
Speaking shortly after handing out the cheques to the beneficiaries, Obieze said: “since assuming office as a representative of the wonderful people of Ezeagu in the Enugu State House of Assembly in 2015, I have developed a serious interest in education. This has led me to support all legislation that seeks to improve education.
“In addition to drafting and supporting bills and motions that improve quality education in Enugu State, I have made it a top priority to ensure that my constituents have easy access to good and quality education. This I have done by consistently offering scholarships to brilliant but indigent students at all levels in Ezeagu constituency.
“On March 8, 2024, I had the honor of renewing this commitment by presenting full tertiary education tuition fees to the beneficiaries of our scholarship program for this academic year.
“I hope this inspires them to do better, just as we hope and pray they succeed in their various activities and make their families, Ezeagu, Enugu State, and Nigeria proud.”
