In a bid to support the ongoing membership registration of the Peoples Democratic Party in Enugu state, renown engineer, philanthropist and human capacity developer, Engr. Lawrence Uzor has donated one million Naira to PDP in his Ezeagu local government area to support the exercise.
Engr. Uzor in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on media, Hon.Jideofor Chijioke, said the money will be shared to the 20 political wards in the council area.
Chijioke said the donation is a tandem with the believe of his principal (Engr. Uzor) that “our party can only be stronger if we support the leaders at the grassroot and this support is aimed at enhancing their overall performance for maximum result.
“Each ward will receive a substantial sum of N50,000, totaling N1,000,000 and we’re hoping that this fund will significantly facilitate the ongoing registration of new party members across the 20 political wards of Ezeagu and enable our ward chairmen to execute their duties more effectively.”
“The ongoing registration exercise is a crucial step towards restoring the party to its former glory and all well-meaning individuals from Ezeagu who wish to join the PDP should seize this opportunity and register within the one-week window.
“Note that this money is strictly for the Party and not for personal use”
Engr. Lawrence Uzor also noted that a bigger and stronger PDP will serve as a morale booster for Governor Peter Mbah, whom he said has been visionary and transformative in his leadership style.
“The uncommon leadership acumen of Governor Mbah has given a breath to the party across all 17 Local Government Areas of Enugu State.
“Governor Peter Mbah is renowned for his transformative leadership and infrastructure development initiatives, which have significantly impacted Enugu State. His administration’s commitments to revitalizing the party’s structure, coupled with his impressive infrastructure projects, has reinvigorated the party’s grassroots support and energized its membership.
“Some notable examples of Governor Mbah’s infrastructure achievements include:

In addition to these accomplishments, Governor Mbah’s party restructuring efforts aim to:
