The vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general election, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has alleged that there could be a “grand scheme” by the current leaders to dismember Nigeria.
Datti Baba-Ahmed who appeared on Arise TV’s Prime Time programme on Friday, made the comment while responding to questions on the chances of the Labour Party in another general election.
He said their party clearly won the 2023 general election and “the iRev was switched off, then the Constitution was twisted, and the meaning of the English language was changed. We won the 2023 election. I will never stop saying it.
“The Labour Party as at today is in a better state than the CPC was in 2013/2014 leading up to the 2015 election, far better than it was.”
He added that “the failures, worsening insecurity, declining economy and aggravated corruption that is going on,” gives them a clear chance of beating the incumbent which when you add these to failures “to when Nigerians will now wake up to the realisation that beyond 2027, there’s probably a grand scheme to dismember Nigeria into six possible autonomous zones because there’s no way to explain the failure and the only way is to carry those failures and run away.”
