The Agunechemba age grade in Umuaram-Ikem, Isi-Uzo local government area of Enugu State, has pledges to commit itself to the development of the community, noting that time has gone in the over dependence on government for Community development.

The age grade which elected new set of executive committee to pilot the affairs of the community for the next four years, stated that Umuaram-Ikem was in a haste to upscale it’s growth, particularly in areas of infrastructural development, agricultural produce and relationship in government and neighbouring Communities.

Chairman-elect of the age grade Mr. Cutbeth Ogbodo said that the newly elected committee were proud of it’s members both at home and in diaspora, whom he noted were great ambassadors of Umuaram Ikem in their different residential locations.

According to Ogbodo, Agunaechemba age grade in Ikem Asokwa is currently the heartbeat of the community who are desirous to overtake their predecessors who he said had equally done well in the development of the Town.

He implored the Isi-Uzo local government council and Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State to look in the way of the Community while distributing development projects, noting that some farm roads in the community desire immedate attention for evacuation of farm produce from the hinterlands.

Those elected alongside the chairman include, Mr. Maxwell Eze (Vice Chairman), Benjamin Ugwuagbo (Secretary), Chidi Okwor (Assistant Secretary), Nnadi Walter (Financial Secretary), Eze Walter (Treasurer), Idoko Victor Osita (PRO), Nnamani Chijioke (Provost I), Ushi Alpheus (Provost II) and Okwor Anselm (Provost III).
