In a bold move to bridge the gap between the state government and grassroots communities, the LIKE MINDS initiative, led by Nicholas Topman, launched a comprehensive awareness campaign in the rural villages of Isi-uzo Local Government Area (LGA) on July 20th.

This strategic outreach was part of the group’s mission to empower local communities and amplify the transformative vision of Governor Peter Ndubisi Mbah.

The campaign began with a warm welcome from the eager villagers, who gathered to listen intently as the LIKE MINDS team shared the remarkable progress and innovative programs championed by the state government.

Topman and his team said they’re determined to ensure that residents in these rural areas were well-informed and could actively participate in their communities’ development.

At the forefront of the discussions was the governor’s flagship initiative—the construction of “Smart Schools” across the 260 wards of Enugu State. The LIKE MINDS team highlighted how these state-of-the-art educational facilities would be accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic status, effectively bridging the long-standing divide between the affluent and the underprivileged. This game-changing approach to education was met with enthusiasm and hope among the villagers, who recognized the transformative potential of the project.

Complementing the focus on education, the LIKE MINDS team also showcased the ongoing road infrastructure projects connecting Owo to Isi-uzo, extending all the way to Benue State. This comprehensive network of interconnected roads was viewed as a catalyst for economic growth, facilitating the movement of goods and people and improving overall connectivity within the region.

Recognizing healthcare’s crucial role in the well-being of rural communities, the LIKE MINDS team further informed the villagers about the governor’s plan to construct modern hospitals across the 260 wards. This ambitious initiative aimed to enhance the availability and quality of medical services, ensuring that even the most remote areas would have access to world-class healthcare facilities.

As the event drew to a close, the LIKE MINDS team expressed their gratitude to the villagers for their warm reception and reiterated their unwavering support for Governor Peter Ndubisi Mbah. They emphasized that the governor’s transformative vision had only just begun, with more impactful initiatives in the pipeline designed to uplift the lives of the people of Isi-uzo and the entire state.

The LIKE MINDS grassroots campaign was a resounding success, not only in raising awareness about the state government’s achievements but also in igniting a sense of hope and empowerment among rural communities. This strategic engagement underscored the importance of reaching beyond urban centers and ensuring that the fruits of good governance are equally distributed across all segments of the population.

In attendance at the event were various stakeholders from the local government, including community leaders, women’s groups, and youth representatives, along with vibrant musical performances that contributed to the celebratory atmosphere. The LIKE MINDS initiative successfully bridged the gap between the state government and grassroots communities, paving the way for a more inclusive and participatory approach to development.

As the campaign concluded, the villagers expressed their gratitude and renewed their commitment to supporting Governor Peter Ndubisi Mbah’s vision for a prosperous and equitable Enugu State. The LIKE MINDS team left with a renewed sense of purpose, determined to continue their grassroots outreach and ensure that the transformative changes championed by the state government reached every corner of the state.
