Chief Mrs. Crystal Jane Cosmas, the founder and CEO of Divine 101.3 FM

The United Nations Positive Livelihood Award Centre (UN-POLAC), an autonomous international institution established in 2001 in cooperation with the UN and UNESCO, has appointed Chief Mrs. Crystal Jane Cosmas, the founder and CEO of Divine 101.3 FM Enugu, as one of their International Peace Advocates.

In a letter of the appointment sighted by JOURNALIST101, Chief Mrs. Cosmas’s nomination highlights her integrity and dedication to living for the benefit of others, as well as her commitment to promoting universal moral values, fostering strong family bonds, encouraging inter-religious and ethnic cooperation, and advocating for a culture of peace.

The letter, signed by the Director General of the Centre, Prof. Halo B. Eton, states, “In addition to recognizing these exemplary qualities, the Appointment Award inspires these individuals to serve as role models in community service and peacebuilding.”

The award conferment ceremony will take place at the Lagos Airport Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM.

The appointment reads in part;

“In line with the UN General Assembly’s declaration. UN-POLAC is Commemorating the ‘2024 Human Rights Day’, an annual event of the UN. This day provides individuals globally a shared date to reafirm the importance of human right in rebuilding the world we want and the need for global solidarity as well as our interconnectedness and shared humanity. As part of the event for the celebration, there will be appointment/presentation of certificate and awards as International Peace Advocates to individuais and volunteers of proven integrity who exhibit the ideals of living for the sake of others and commit themselves to promoting universal moral values, strong family social harmony, inter-relgious and ethnic co-operation and the culture of peace In addition to acknowledging these special qualities, the Appointment Award encourages these individuals to be role models in community services & peace making.

“In view of the foregoing, the trustees of UN-POLAC recognize that you exemplify these qualities and wish to convey you their decision to appoint you an Iniernational Peace Ádvocate/Volunteer.

“As an International Peace Advocate, you can be called upon for peace making, conflict resolution and other activities that encourage peace and positive living in line with the best international practices.

“This prestigious event will be held at Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos on Friday, December
13,2024; Time:1:00pm.

“While waiting to celebrate with you on that day, we wish to convey our sincere congratulations on
your well-deserved honor.”
