President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Mr. Alfred Agaba Abah as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Civil Service Matters.

In response to the announcement, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), praised Abah as the ideal choice for the position.

She highlighted that his appointment is a historic milestone, marking the inaugural creation of such a role within the Nigerian Civil Service.

Walson-Jack emphasized that this strategic decision underscores the Tinubu administration’s commitment to advancing ongoing reform efforts designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Civil Service.

She expressed optimism that Abah, an accomplished administrator and retired Director of the Federal Civil Service, will bring a wealth of experience, deep expertise, and a strong reputation for integrity and professionalism.

“With over three decades of dedicated service in various key public sector roles, his proven track record demonstrates his capability in driving reforms and fostering organizational excellence,” she stated in a release from Eno Olotu (Mrs), Head of Information & Public Relations of the HoSF.

The HCSF noted that under President Tinubu’s leadership, the Nigerian Civil Service has undergone transformative reforms.

“These changes have strengthened the confidence of the Nigerian people in the government’s dedication to good governance and public service excellence,” she concluded.
