Enugu State Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, held a formal decoration ceremony today to honour Chidiebere Ijiomah on his promotion to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).

The event took place at the Enugu State Police Command Headquarters, attended by senior police officers, distinguished guests, and family members.

During the ceremony, CP Uzuegbu commended CSP Ijiomah for his dedication, hard work, and exemplary service to the Nigeria Police Force. He emphasized the significance of the new rank as not only a personal achievement but also a testament to the commitment to upholding the law and ensuring the safety of citizens in Enugu State, adding that the new rank comes with more responsibility.

“In your new capacity as Chief Superintendent of Police, you are expected to demonstrate leadership, integrity, and professionalism,” said CP Uzuegbu. “Your role will be pivotal in addressing the challenges of policing in our communities, and I have full confidence in your abilities to excel in this position.”

CSP Ijiomah expressed his gratitude for the promotion and pledged to continue his service with unwavering dedication.

“I’m grateful to God, our visionary leader, the Inspector General of Police, my dynamic CP and all members of the force on this new rank. I understand the responsibility that comes with it and I’ll continue to give my best.”

He acknowledged the support of his colleagues and family, which has been instrumental in his professional journey.

CSP Ijiomah heads the Octopus Tactical Team— a tactical squad of Enugu Police Command responsible for cracking of heinous crimes and it’s likes in the state.
