The Enugu State Waste Management Authority, ESWAMA, has cancelled the monthly clean-up exercise which was scheduled to hold on Saturday, 26th October 2024.
ESWAMA in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Water and Waste, Andreas Gebauer said; “The cancellation was due to the State-wide funeral rites in honour of late President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, scheduled to hold same Saturday, October 26, 2024, in Enugu.”
ESWAMA further urged “Ndi Enugu to always keep their environment clean and bag their waste properly before disposal, to make the evacuation easier for the evacuators”, adding that; “All inconveniences regarding the Clean Up cancellation is highly regretted.”
