…CP Kanayo orders comprehensive investigation into the incident<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The Enugu State Police Command has launched an investigation into a fire that broke out at Pinnacle Filling Station on Agbani Road in Enugu during the early hours of today, Friday, September 20, 2024.<\/p>\n

In a statement, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the command’s spokesperson, reported, “The fire was swiftly extinguished with assistance from both federal and state fire services, who promptly responded to the emergency.”<\/p>\n

“Fortunately, no lives were lost. However, three vehicles waiting to purchase fuel were damaged before normalcy was restored by the police.”<\/p>\n

Ndukwe added that; “A preliminary investigation suggests that the fire may have been caused by fuel leakage from one of the vehicles buying fuel at the station.<\/p>\n

“Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, psc (+), who personally oversaw operations at the scene, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State CID to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.<\/p>\n
