Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich has reportedly offered to sell off the club to interested buyers.<\/p>\n
Abramovich has come under various attacks over his alleged ties with the Russian President, Vladimir Putin of which he has denied.<\/p>\n
Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss has confirmed that he and three other potential buyers have been approached to buy Chelsea from Roman Abramovich.<\/p>\n
Wyss, who is reported to have a net worth of \u00a34.36billion, says it is Abramovich that is trying to engineer an auction, not the other way around.<\/p>\n
\u201cLike all other oligarchs, he is in a panic,\u201d Wyss told Swiss newspaper Blick. \u201cAbramovich is trying to sell all his villas in England. He also wants to get rid of Chelsea quickly. I and three other people received an offer on Tuesday to buy Chelsea from Abramovich.<\/p>\n
Wyss said the Russian Oligarch is asking in excess of \u00a32 billion<\/p>\n
\u201cAbramovich is currently asking far too much. You know, Chelsea owe him \u00a32 billion.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs of today, we don’t know the exact selling price. I can well imagine starting at Chelsea with partners. But I have to examine the general conditions first. But what I can already say, I’m definitely not doing something like this alone.
