Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor, has expressed confidence that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, would be granted bail on May 18, 2022.<\/p>\n
Ejimakor made this known following yesterday\u2019s ruling by Justice Binta Nyako of the Abuja Federal High Court.<\/p>\n
The court had yesterday, struck out eight out of the 15-count charges against Kanu on the grounds that the proof of evidence did not link Kanu to the charges.<\/p>\n
Striking the charges out, Justice Nyako said, \u201cI have read the counts and counts 6,7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14 have not disclosed any offense against the defendent”.<\/p>\n
Reacting to the Judgement, Ejimakor wrote in a tweet; \u201cCongratulations to my colleagues who were on ground yesterday to receive the 8-count strike out.<\/p>\n
