The Enugu police command have confirmed attack on one of the Divisional headquarters in the state.<\/p>\n
Gunmen reportedly attacked the Isi-Uzo Divisional police station in Ikem in the early hours of Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe while commenting on the incident, said: “Tactical Police Operatives of the Command are on the trail of armed hoodlums, suspected to be members of the outlawed IPOB\/ESN group, who in their numbers today, 18\/07\/2023, at about 4.30am, attempted to attack Isi-Uzo Police Division of the Command, but were repelled by Police Operatives on duty.”<\/p>\n
“Many of the miscreants escaped with gunshot wounds, while one (1) of the Operatives who sustained gunshot wound is receiving treatment and in stable condition.<\/p>\n
