In line with his dedication and commitment to serving his constituency to the best of his ability, the member representing the good people of Ezeagu in Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Chima Obieze visited the people of Ibite Olo in Ezeagu L.G.A. who was recently attacked.
The people of Ibite-Olo has been in a logjam with the people of Oba in Anambra State over the ownership of a parcel of land. Reports has it that the land in disput was given to the farmers from Oba to aid their farming activities with the brotherly agreement that the land is never theirs as Igbo people by tradition don’t sell land.
The people of Ibite-Olo and Oba people have been living in peace until recently when dispute over the ownership of the land started. There has been series of disagreement until recently, the people of Oba invaded Ibite-Olo with arms, wounding so many people and destroying properties.
Hon. Obieze who was at the scene of the attack yesterday, 27th April, 2018 to get a first hand information of what really transpired and the level of damage done by the attackers as well as to interact with the people to know exactly how they feel.
During the visit, Hon Obieze who expressed shock that humans could be this cruel and inhumane promised to take up the matter to Enugu State House of Assembly to ensure a lasting solution.
Hon Obieze also gave financial assistance to the victims of the attack and assured them of his willingness to make sure their ordeal gets adequate attention from the state government.
The victims expressed great joy and thanked Hon. Obieze for coming to their aid in a time like this and prayed to God to continue to bless and keep him to continue doing the good work he’s doing for his People.
