The political party adopted by former president Obasanjo Coalition-African Democratic Congress over the weekend met in New Haven Suits, Enugu State.

The meeting which to the surprise of many witnessed a large turn out of people from 17 LGAs of the state.

In her welcome address, The State Chairman of the Party in Enugu State, Mrs. Stella Chukwumaa took the members down memory lane on how the party came to become a national party by virtue of the adoption of the party by Obasanjo’s Third Force. She continued by saying that ADC has come to right the wrongs of bad Governance.
“ADC is a child of necessity as it’s coming at a time the Nation is in a cross road. ADC is untainted and can’t be said to have contributed to the ill administration/Governance the country has witnessed since the return of democracy in 1999”.

She vowed that by what she saw today, the people of Enugu State are ready to take their destinies by their own hands and told the ruling PDP to get ready to vacate the state as the people has rejected them owing to their poor and abysmal performance over the years that has brought nothing but poverty and suffering to the people.

The National Chairman of the Party Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu who was also present at the meeting thanked the people of Enugu for coming out in their numbers to embrace “The real Change” the country so desire.
“The party ADC is borne out of the zeal to change the lot of the populace. The ADC is not just a political party but a movement to liberate the people.”
The National Chairman charged the members of the party in the state to be proud to associate with the ADC because it’s founded by one of their own- an Igbo Man

Some of the members of the party from Enugu East, Aninri, Nkanu East, Igbo Etiti, Uzo-Uwani, Ezeagu, Udi, etc. who spoke at the meeting promised to work assiduously to mobilize for the party as they can see light at the end of the tunnel with ADC at the helm of affairs in the state.

Also present at the meeting were representatives of a serving Senator from the State, 2 house of Representatives and 1 LGA chairman that all seek to be anonymous saying their principals are consulting widely to join the Party.
