Nigeria police have withdrawn the directive given to the senate president to appear in the force headquarters intelligence unit.
This position was disclosed via president’s twitter account. The Senate president said that instead of appearing in their office, a notice was given to him to respond to the allegations levelled against him by the suspects of Offa Bank robbery within 24 hours.
“Following my earlier tweet, I have received the letter from @PoliceNG. They are no longer asking me to appear at any station, but to respond in writing to the allegations within 48 hours”
This information is coming barely 24 hours after the Senate President was invited by Nigerian Police.
The Senate President have agreed to comply with the directive of the police within the time frame contained in the letter addreseed to his office. “– which I plan to do.” The concluding part of his tweet said
