A pressure group, Abia Rescue Initiave, has described the 2015 Abia governorship candidate, Dr. Alex Otti OFR as a formidable force needed at this point in Abia history to salvage and reposition the state for visible development.
The group made the statement, when it’s state coordinator, Comrade Eze Achonna led over 100 members of the state and LGA coordinators and their executives to a solidarity visit to Dr. Alex Otti at the APGA party secretariat in Umuahia.
Speaking through its state coordinator, and some of the LGA coordinators and some women leaders, the group expressed joy that Dr. Alex Otti did not retreat after the 2015 election, rather has shown greater energy and determination in his altruistic quest to meet the general aspiration of Abians which is to enthrone a visionary leadership capable of holistically turning the state around for the benefit of all, and urged the APGA state chairman, Rev. Augustine Ehiemere to pass their message of undiluted support to Dr. Alex Otti.
They reiterated their determination to repeat the voting feat of 2015 by joining other Abia voters to unanimously vote for APGA and Dr. Alex Otti.
Responding after listening to his visitors, the APGA state chairman, Rev. Augustine Ehiemere praised the Abia Rescue Initiative for joining other Abia progressives to declare their support for APGA and Dr. Alex Otti, saying that it’s gratifying to behold the kind of love Abians have for APGA and Dr. Alex Otti as has been exemplified through their unwavering support and fervent prayers for the party, and its leader.
Rev. Ehiemere made it clear that APGA doesn’t shy away from talking about Dr. Alex Otti because he has shown commitment and courage to redeeming Abia through APGA, and assured the Abia Rescue Initiative (ARI) that Dr. Otti is putting so much effort to ensure that APGA delivers Abia state come 2019 so as to end years of poor leadership that has seen the fortunes of the state dwindle consistently.
The APGA state chairman enjoined the group to go and fish out men and women to join the group, and advised them on the need to encourage their friends and loved ones to go and get their PVCs in order to effect change of leadership in Abia, insisting that if all men and women of goodwill fail to come together and salvage the state, unborn generations of Abia would suffer immensely.
Finally, Rev. Ehiemere assured the group that he will pass their message of love, support and solidarity across to Dr. Otti.
