Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti state, appeared at a rally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state on Wednesday.
This was hours after he reportedly collapsed after inhaling substance of teargas allegedly fired by security operatives who laid siege to the government house in Ado-Ekiti.
When he mounted the podium, Fayose who wore a neck brace, told the crowd to stand firm.
“Don’t be afraid. The Lord will fight this battle. I’m told they’ve been asked to kill me. I heard they have given INEC the result to declare but the Lord will fight,” he said.
