… Says Nigeria needs a strong government and not a strong President
The Former Speaker of the Fed House of Reps and PDP presidential aspirant , Rt Hon. Aminu Tambuwal has stated that Nigeria need new leadership with new direction in order to place Nigeria on the map of performing Nation in comity of Nations.
Governor Aminu Tambuwal who was in Port Harcourt earlier today (October 1st ) in continuation of his Nationwide tour to woo PDP delegates ahead of October 6th/7th presidential election , where he met with the state Governor Nweso Wike , Party stakeholders and state delegates, noted that the current leadership of the country is driving the Nation backward.
Tambuwal while speaking at Port Harcourt, stated that if he wins , he will pursue a 21century governance model that will strengthen the government as against the person of the President .
According to Tambuwal ,
“We are all aware that this country has never been this divided. This country has never been this polarised. There is a need for us, not only to have a 21st leadership, but a leadership that is Pan-Nigeria.
“We need a leadership that understands the complexities of this country “. He said .
The man many see as a unifier that the Nation need at a time like this , went on to state that he will open conversation on topical issues on the lips of Nigerians within the constitutional framework if elected .
“We shall, within the constitutional framework of our country, give our people what everyone wants by way of restructuring in order to ensure equity ” he said.
On his part , Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike , told his visitor that there is need for all the aspirants to maintain decency and to conduct themselves in such a way that Nigerians will see and feel hope .
According to outspoken Governor ,
“My advise, which I give to all aspirants who have been here, is for you to maintain decency and conduct yourself in such a way that Nigerians will see and feel hope.
Tell Nigerians what you want to do for them .Sell yourself .Do not be desperate .If it is God’s will , nobody can stop you. Wike advised .
Tambuwal who had visited two other states (Kastina and Jigawa ) earlier in the day before arriving Rivers State , will continue with his Nationwide tour to the remaining states of Imo , Abia and Anambra before returning to Abuja ahead of the National Convention .
Many see Tambuwal as someone that will bring the needed stability in Nigeria polity and build consensus among Nigerians and interests for the benefit of Nigeria development .
