Anambra State based blogger and political analyst, Victor Chigozie Eneh who was abducted yesterday at the orders of Aguleri based House of Representatives aspirant one Chinedu Obidigwe has regained His freedom.
Recounting His ordeal in the hands of His abductors, Eneh who is currently undergoing a medical procedure in a private medical facility in a South East State disclosed shortly before His admission that after being rough handled, thoroughly flogged, kicked and punched by His assailants acting on the instruction and supervision of Chinedu Obidigwe who joined them at intervals, He was handcuffed and handed over to three mobile policemen who gave police cover to the heinous crime and was afterwards driven to a police station where He was bailed by Chief Bonaventure Mokwe an Anambra based hotelier and estate developer.
Eneh also disclosed that while He underwent the ordeal, some aides of Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano were available giving credence to chances that Chinedu Obidigwe may not have acted without the tacit support of the governor.
Apart from Okagbue Dominic, media aide to Chinedu Obidigwe, other government officials present during the operation were “Chief” George Udedibia, Nonso Iwuoba and a certain individual known by His alias “Okote”.
On their part, Okagbue Dominic and George Udedibia have not denied their involvement in the abduction of Mr. Eneh. Whereas Dominic said Eneh was abducted from a hotel room not His house, Udedibia did not dispute the claim that He was at the scene of the crime but only requested that His name be removed from the list of perpetrators since He did not play a direct role in it.
Eneh had recently uncovered the fact that Chinedu Obidigwe falsified His age to enable Him contest a federal election in 2019 while deposing to an affidavit to cover His fraud; a revelation which drew the anger of Obidigwe and made Him boast that with the express backing of Gov. Obiano, He could commit murder and nothing will happen.
