The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC have alledgedly arrested the senior special assistant to former president Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe.
Confirming the incident, National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Kola Ologbondiya wrote on twitter saying;
“Media Adviser to the Director General of PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, @doyinokupe detained by the EFCC
“It is a season of assault, harassment and intimidation for the members of PDP.
It will be recalled that officials of the EFCC stormed the house of Okupe last week Saturday in Ilupeju Lagos state, demanding that he follows them to their office.
Okupe said the officials had stormed his residence with no letter of invitation or warrant but promised to visit their office on Monday.
