Senator Victor Umeh who noted that the nominees were very qualified as they possess the vital skills and experience said the chairman of the commission is from the North while only one of the nominees was from the south-west.

Umeh said “This makes a total of four people from the North; the South-East and South-South are not accommodated in this Commission.

“It is important that we include all regions in governing roles and in the fight against corruption, as it involves us all.

“All geo-political zones should be included in this Commission.

Senator Matthew Urhogide who said the nomination wasn’t right pleaded that the matter be stood down while it is being looked into.

The senate later went into an executive session for about 25minutes thereafter they agreed that the confirmation be suspended for further legislative input.
