The Nigeria senate had on Wednesday passed a bill for the establishment of the South-East Development Commission.
The commission which will be saddled with the responsibility of administering funds received from the federation account
The 30 clause bill which was sponsored by senator Samuel Anyanwu will be for the improvement of the social, economic and commercial potential of the entire south east will also help to engage the youths of the geo-political in profitable ventures.
Chairman of the Committee, Emmanuel Paulker said the passing of the bill will in o little way reduce the agitation from various groups of the zone and also the complaints of marginalization.
Prior to be coming a law, the bill will have to be passed by the House of Representatives and signed by the President.
