The member representing the good people of Ezeagu in Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Chima Obieze on Thursday, 20th December, 2018 brought the spirit of the yuletide alive in his Enugu resident as he gathered members of constituency, friends and well wishers.

The event “Carol of 9 lessons” witnessed powerful renditions by the unique and spectacular Diamond Voices Choral, Enugu and Blake City Choral, Enugu.

The high points of the event was the reading of the 9 lessons by prominent members of the society which included;
● Ozo Okey Ozoani, PDP Zonal Chairman, Enugu West Senatorial zone.
● Hon. Ikeji Asogwa, Chairman, Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board and Former State Chairman, Enugu PDP.
● Prof. Ikechukwu Ndolo, the Chairman, Enugu State Housing Cooperation.
● Hon. Ogbonnaya Idike, Permanent Secretary, Enugu State Ministry of Transport and the former LG Chairman, Igboetiti LGA of Enugu State.

Speaking to our correspondent at the event, Barr. Obieze said “in the Spirit of Christmas to commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Carol is all about the stories of the bible that led to hia birth.
“I am here with my people because Christmas is all about sharing love thus I invited my constituents so we can share this love together and listen to the word of God” he said.

When asked why he’s having this event this year knowing that his election is less than 90 days away, Hon Obieze in his response explained that “this is not the first time I’m hosting an event like this but this years’ seems to be the loudest.
“Every Christmas over the years, I have always hosted a Christmas charol, sometimes, my family members will do the singing because I have sisters who are in the choir and they sing with my in-laws but this is the first time we are doing it big”

He enjoined every member of his constituency to share love this festive season as love is the greatest commandment given by God “The bible said that the greatest commandment I give you this day that you should love the Lord your God, with all your power, heart, strength and love your neighbour as yourself”
