The independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has suspended the governorship and house of assembly election going on in rivers state.
In a Press statement signed by the Commission’s National Commissioner and Director of Voters Education, Festus Okoye, he sighted the high spate of violence as the reason for the suspension of the election.
The election according to the press release is suspended until further notice .
