There’s a mild drama taking place at the collation centre for Kano guber election as four presiding officers of Gama Ward in Nassarawa Local Government Area of the State have allegedly absconded with the collated results of some polling units in the area.
The supplementary election was mared by violence as thugs invaded most polling areas, intimidating and disenfranchising voters. Even journalists weren’t spared as the rampaging thugs unleashed mayhem on them too.
While the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP agents at the collation centre are calling for the cancellation of the results of the ward due to widespread violence, the All Progressives Congress, APC agents are calling for declaration of zero voting so that there wont be election in the area again.
It was gathered that the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Riskuwa Shehu, is holding emergency meeting with top officials of the commission to sort of the quagmire.
