An explosion has rocked the porthacourt Mall in Rivers state causing casualties to a number of persons.
Reports says the explosion which took place around 05:20pm left one person dead and Others injured.
Reports also reveals that the explosion might have been caused by gas cylinders at the kitchen side of the mall.
Some of the victims were rushed to the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital where they are said to be receiving treatment.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP, Nnamdi Omoni who confirmed the reports said investigation has commenced to ascertain what might have led to the explosion.
