The Abia State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of John Okiyi Kalu as commissioner during their sitting today.
His confirmation followed his nomination by the Governor of the state, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu shortly after his inauguration on 29th May, 2019.
Confirming the nomination, the speaker of the state house of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji cited the letter from the Governor asking the house to screen and confirm the nominee as a commissioner in the state.
Chief Okiyi-kalu was later proclaimed and confirmed by the house as Commissioner and awaiting assigning of portfolio by Abia State Governor.
