Amidst criticisms that President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial list for his second term was tilted more in favour of political patronage rather than credibility, Adams Oshiomhole, Chairman, All Progressives Congress on Monday, said the mere fact that Buhari nominated ministers from the South East, which gave him less than five per cent in the last general election was the height of magnanimity.

Oshiomhole who was indirectly referring to the nomination of Chris Ngige and Barrister Sharon Ikeazor both from Anambra State said the gesture of the President speaks volumes and shows a personality with a large heart, one ready to accommodate, appreciate and to have an all-inclusive government.

The party chairman who met with President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, said the term political patronage as used by the critics was relative as it could be positive or negative.

Reacting to the question, he said, “whose credibility? How credible are some of those who are talking?
