A former SA to former President Goodluck Jonathan on new media, Reno Omokri has taken on the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor E.A. Adeboye for calling for prayers as five pastors of his church were abducted while on their way to the church’s Ministers’ Conference In Lagos yesterday August 1st.
The general overseer of the RCCG, Pastor Adeboye had announced the abduction of the clergymen at the church’s camp ground along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway today Friday August 2nd.
Reacting to Adeboye’s call for prayers, Reno in a post via his twitter page, said “if Sir (reference to Adeboye), if you had spoken PUBLICLY when ordinary Nigerians were kidnapped, maybe your children wouldn’t have been abducted.
He also reminded Pastor Adeboye that his pastor, now VP of Nigeria once went to America to talk down on the insecurity in the state. His words; “Why is Pastor Adeboye telling us about his 5 pastors abducted by gunmen?.
“Where was he when his pastor and Buhari’s deputy, Prof. Osinbajo, went to America to tell those who could help us with our issues that insecurity in Nigeria is exaggerated?”
He went further to ask what the clergyman said when the daughter of one of the leaders of Yoruba race was killed.
“Who can tell me what Pastor Adeboye said when suspected herdsmen killed the daughter of the leader of Afenifere?
“NOTHING.
“So why is Pastor Adeboye angrily talking now that gunmen have abducted 5 of his pastors?
“When the RIGHTEOUS are QUIET, the EVIL are ENCOURAGED” he concluded.
